On Saturday I bought the latest issue of Cross Stitcher magazine (251), which contains beautiful colourful projects and as a present the mazazine has a very nice needle holder with four needles inside.

The first project I decided to make is a case for my new phone, the pattern is quite simple and only requires two sheets of felt, soluble canvas, thread and a piece of fabric. I nearly finish mine and I love the result.

In a previous post I told you about the cross stitch birds cushion I was making, well, yesterday I decided to finish it but I didn´t want to make a cushion anymore so I made something smaller. I love the result but I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet, I guess I will just put it on a frame but if you have any other idea plz let me know :)

Finally I started to make the cushion cover using the beautiful African flowers. These African flowers are very easy to make but they require attention and time. I used a chart but I recently found a good tutorial that can help you to make them. I am posting both options so you can choose the one you prefer. I am also leaving a link with a very nice tutorial showing how to join the flowers once they are made. These are some of my flowers...

This week I found this idea to make a crochet hook case, I liked it because it´s very easy to make and you can personalized it with anything you want. This is the pattern and some pics of my case, I still need to work on it a bit more.

Yesterday my mother in law gave me the latest issue of Cross Stitcher magazine (250). This wonderful magazine not only contains so many beautiful projects, but also gives a present: a nice needle book to make. This is my new project for this week along with some other ideas to work with felt and crochet.

The needle book is made in blue felt with some nice blue and red roses. This present gives a product I didn´t know (because it´s been a long time since I made a cross stich project)  which is soluble canvas. This wonderful product allows you to do cross stitch on any surface without the Aida fabric. The product looks like a plastic Aida fabric but the difference is once the project is finished you just need to soak it in warm water and the "fabric" disappears :) how good is that?

I have so many ideas I could use this product for, may be a nice phone case made in felts with a nice design on the surface :)

Finally I finished the  Charles Rennie Mackintosh design I was making as a Mother´s day present for  my mother in law, who is a big art deco fan. It took me two months to make it but I am sure it could take less time if you work on it everyday. We decided to put this on a frame because it´s smaller than we thought but is very beautiful.
If you would like to have this pattern or the birds one, please feel free to leave a comment with your email and I will send them to you.

Another craft I made this weekend was this bowl cover. This is the bowl where we have some popurri in the bathroom.  I made it using two colours, simple crochet stitches and just two increases on the base and in the middle of the work where the bowl is bigger.  Additionally I added a little flower with a button in the center to make it look more colorful. I have some pictures to show you the result:

This weekend I made the little birds I saw on Attic 24 and I think they are lovely. I did just a few changes sucha  asinstead of using buttons for the legs, I used beads,  and instead of making a flower on the top, I put another bead. I really like the way the look and they were quite simple to make, considering that is just a circle folded in half, with two wings, the legs and two buttons for the eyes. I have some pictures to show you how two birds look.

Decorando recipientes- Tin cover cases

Some time ago I saw a very good idea on Attic24 because she used something as common as an empty tuna tin. You just need some empty tins or containers, wool, needle number 4 or 5mm and colourful beads. I bought a few beads and silver hearts on eBay UK for less than 3 pounds each package.
These cases are made with simple crochet stitches and different colours. The beads are placed on the edges using low stitches, inserting the bead and making 3 or 4 slow stitches between this one and the other one. For the beads, you just need to insert them in a strand of wool and then stitch them one by one on the edge of the tin. I also ordered some colourful tape to put the inside of the tin so in that way you don´t have the sharp edge. I have some photos to show you how the tins look like:
